Her passion for music however deep rooted it is does not make her without fault. She is admittedly troubled by bouts of anorexia nervosa.

Although i personally love her style of music and her personality i have to say that i have never went out of my way to acquire her albums. But the other day i found myself living through her spirit nevertheless. I was listening to the same song over and over and over again and it was filling a void in my own life for that moment.

I was in a mood and i knew that one song explained that mood yet i couldn't remember the name of the song or the name of the artist. Admittedly i had a few beers but....well suddenly the name Alanis flashed in my mind and i went off to youTube to search the song title and i found it.

The song was Hand in my pocket.

I listened to a few or almost every version that i could find. The first version was performed in her early career and it showed complete musical passion.

Maybe it was the beers but i found the later versions to be showing a lesser degree of conviction.

Yet Alanis Morissette has the objective truth about that assessment.

While listening to more versions i surfed the net and found more info on this musical lady and found that she is now a minister. Again i am not assessing her or her choice of religion but like the rest of us she is questioning the quintessential meaning of life.

Anyways she is a bright star in my mind and she represents passion in music to me.
